Fluvia Lacerda once again makes a big splash as she covers the Autumn 2011 issue of Beautiful magazine. The cover image was photographed by Andre Schneider, styled by Gabi Gregg and designed by Kevin Gilmour.
Beautiful is a relatively new glossy print publication from the UK. According to Beautiful Magazine Editor in Chief Sue Thomason, “At Beautiful we are a magazine for real women, to us this means Beautiful is for ALL women, thin, fat, tall, petite, athletic, curvy.” Beautiful also has a policy of only using models size 12 and up, no diet/weight loss ads, and several others designed to make the reader have a more pleasant experience than some other magazines.

Natalie Laughlin, an iconic plus size model has been at the forefront of plus size issues for many years and continues in that role to this day. She was the first plus size model to appear in a billboard ad in Times Square not once but five times as Elisabeth Girl for Liz Claiborne. She was also the first plus size model to appear in Glamour magazine(U.S.) in a 1995 spread.
Naomi Shimada is a plus size model who began her modeling career as a young teen. She gained popularity through numerous editorials and TV work to become a force in the modeling industry. Naomi is now represented by Models 1’s plus size division(Excel).
This 5′10″ beauty is very well proportioned and has all the characteristics of a top model. She definitely uses them all to her best advantage. Additionally, Ms. Shimada is fluent in 4 languages.

In the U.S., Abby has worked for a host of clients including Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales, Marina Rinaldi, Macy’s, Lord and Taylor, and Tommy Hilfiger.
