Mia Amber Davis, fashion model and actress, died May 10, 2011 Los Angeles, California, USA following complications from knee surgery. She was 36. We offer our condolences to her family and friends.
A Memorial Fund for Ms. Davis has been established at PLUS Model Magazine, where she was Creative Editor-at-Large.

Denise Bidot is an up and coming Californian plus model who is on track to rise to the very top of the plus modeling industry. She covered the August 2010 issue of PLUS Model Magazine, the “Denim Issue”, and also appeared in the September 2010 issue of Glamour Magazine.
Denise has modeled for many of the leading plus size retailers such as Torrid, Kohls, Forever 21+, Hips and Curves, Leg Avenue, Kiyonna, and Intimate Attitudes. We expect there will be more.

Nicole Esperanza was named the winner of the PLUS Model Magazine/City Chic Model Search. Ms. Esperanza will be flown to NYC for a shoot with PLUS Model Magazine and her images will be seen on the City Chic website. In addition she will receive a one year contract with Natural Models Management and an invitation to walk in Full Figured Fashion Week, June 2011.
The 2nd and 3rd runner ups are: Karyn Johnson and Kelle Coleman. They will both receive a gift certificate from City Chic, the number one Australian plus size brand.
