Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York begins Today

The much anticipated New York Fashion Week runs from September 8-15, showing the Spring 2012 Collections at Lincoln Center, NYC.

Designer Zac Posen returns to New York where he sent a “not as plus size as she used to be”, Crystal Renn down the runway for his  Z Spoke line on September 11, 2010.  This year his show is slated for Sunday, September 11, 2011.

This year, there will be a lot of live streams to check out so it should be more entertaining for those who can’t attend in person.

The internet simulcast will air globally in numerous countries around the world, including: United States, France, United Kingdom, Belgium, Sweden. In addition to the internet simulcast, the virtual plus-size runway show will broadcast live from a Jumbo-Tron in New York City’s famed Times Square.

OneStopPlus.com, no stranger to being a trendsetter, held the first plus size runway show which coincided with New York Fashion Week last fall.  By all accounts it was a smashing success.  This time OSP is pulling out all the stops.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Announces Preliminary Schedule for Fall 2011

New York, NY (January 11, 2011) – IMG Fashion announced today the initial line up of shows for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week’s second season in Lincoln Center’s Damrosch Park. From February 10-17, thousands of fashion industry professionals will gather to see over 85 of the world’s most established and up-and-coming designers present their Collections for the Fall 2011 season.

Crystal Renn walks at New York Fashion Week

Top plus size model Crystal Renn walked for designer Zac Possen on Saturday September 11, 2010 at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Sporting a yellow jumpsuit Renn, ripped the catwalk in her first appearance at this year’s fashion week. We have seen reports of here size being a 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 all for this show!  Does it really matter? The fact is that she is beautiful and works the products. That’s the whole point, size shouldn’t matter.
