Marquita Pring for Eloquii by The Limited

Ford model Marquita Pring is a quite striking and shapely plus size model who can also deliver the all important beauty shot. This is the main reason she has  been working for some of the best designers and vendors in the industry.

She was stunning in the June 2011 Vogue Italia Belle Vere editorial. Her “furniture top” shot is one not easily accomplished but under the direction of  photographer Steven Meisel, it was pulled off with spectacular results. It’s one of those shots that if you ever see anything like it, you will always be reminded of Marquita and Vogue Italia.

eloquii by The Limited is their new online store that launched November 1, 2011.  The store features plus size women’s fashions, clothes and accessories with free shipping on all purchases and return. Currently, they ship only to the USA.

Marquita Pring is featured in the Vogue Italia’s June 2011 issue cover story. The photos are impeccably done Steven Meisel. On the cover of the issue are Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine and Robyn Lawley.

This plus size quartet supports the basis of the cover story’s title “Belle Vere” or true beauty. The sensuality of the photos can almost be felt as Meisel and the ladies produce another gem for Vogue Italia.

Robyn Lawley

Robyn Lawley is featured in a 10 page fashion editorial in the September issue of Vogue Australia. Lawley, a top Australian plus model, also covered the June 2011 issue of Vogue Italia with plus models Tara Lynn and Candice Huffine. Marquita Pring also appeared in a sizzling editorial with the cover models.

The September Australian editorial will be the first fashion editorial featuring a plus size model in the magazine’s 52 year history and it doesn’t disappoint. Robyn also covered Elle France’s April 2011 issue. Busy, busy!!!

We at plusmodelstoday.com think that this editorial will offer rock solid proof that plus size models can deliver top quality editorial work that can and  will compete “straight size” models, if there  was ever any doubt.  Lawley delivers big time.

Marquita Pring

As reported to WWD and widely across the Net, Marquita Pring reveals that she sometimes uses padding to accentuate her already gorgeous shape.

She told WWD:  ‘Some [clients] like you much smaller, [U.S.] size 10, size 8. Some people would prefer a 14 or 16. So for me, I’m right in the middle at a sort of small 14, high 12. So I pad sometimes since I’ve  got clients who would prefer a solid 14 or 16.

Reluctantly she said:

‘I don’t know if we should reveal this secret! They’re pieces of foam. So I just lay them flat on each hip underneath [hosiery].  They’re like a solid inch and a half thick… [and] make you seem all around wider.’

‘From the side you look kind of weird – and it feels weird. Like every now and then my arm gets caught on it and I’m like, wait, this isn’t me. But it’s better for me because I can still be healthy and work out and have the body I want. It’s a little bit of model magic.’

Is this OK ????    What do you think ?  Please post your comments below.
