ALDA Models feature in Icelandic Glamour Magazine

 Beautiful ALDA Models

Models Ashley Graham, Danielle Redman, Inga Eiriksdottir, Julie Henderson, and Marquita Pring, the founders of ALDA, are featured in Icelandic Glamour Magazine stripped down bare to make an obvious point that beauty comes in all sizes.  ALDA was formed when Ford Models disbanded their plus size division and the founding members joined IMG Models. Simply put ALDA promotes body positivity for all size women.

We look forward to the continued fruits that ALDA’s initiatives will bear.

Beautiful ALDA models for BUST Magazine

ALDA models for BUST Magazine

Models Ashley Graham, Danielle Redman, Inga Eiriksdottir, Julie Henderson and Marquita Pring formed the group ALDA which promotes the idea that models need not be categorized or pigeonholed by size but instead they just need to be a member of the group called models. Basically then if they are models, then enough said.

The models in Alda came together in 2013 when Ford Models disbanded its Plus Division and group ALDA joined IMG Models. Their objective was to pursue work and compete with any other models as models and not as plus size models. They also want to expand on the idea that models should be judged on the basis of whether they can get the job done and not solely on their size.

You can read the full story in the February/March 2015 issue of BUST Magazine on sale now.

Top Plus Models signed to IMG New York

Five Plus Models sign with IMG New York

Plus Models Marquita Pring, Inga Eiriksdottir, Ashley Graham, Julie Henderson, and Danielle Redman have all signed exclusively with the powerhouse agency IMG Models. The move represents an effort by IMG to include models of diverse sizes in their show package and thereby increase the visibility of the models in the industry and the general public.

The newly signed models are some of the top plus models in the industry who are well established and have successful careers. Not only will this signing benefit the models individually, it will increase the acceptance of diversity as a viable marketing tool in general.

This bodes well for all in the fashion industry.
