Fluvia Lacerda once again makes a big splash as she covers the Autumn 2011 issue of Beautiful magazine. The cover image was photographed by Andre Schneider, styled by Gabi Gregg and designed by Kevin Gilmour.
Beautiful is a relatively new glossy print publication from the UK. According to Beautiful Magazine Editor in Chief Sue Thomason, “At Beautiful we are a magazine for real women, to us this means Beautiful is for ALL women, thin, fat, tall, petite, athletic, curvy.” Beautiful also has a policy of only using models size 12 and up, no diet/weight loss ads, and several others designed to make the reader have a more pleasant experience than some other magazines.

Brazilian model Fluvia Lacerda accepted the Full Figure Fashion Week Award for Best Plus Commercial Print Model of the Year Saturday June 18th, 2011 at the Full Figured Fashion Week Awards at The Marriott Marquis Hotel, New York City.
Fluvia is a triple threat in that she has face, curves, and she knows how to model. However, the biggest thing we feel she has going for her is her confidence. She is strongly grounded in who she is and it shows in all her photographs.

Fluvia Lacerda is featured in Playboy Brazil making her the first plus size model to appear in that magazine. Ms. Lacerda at a very shapely size 16 is definitely one of the curviest models to appear in any Playboy. Many see this article as breaking down another barrier for plus size models. We agree.
