Queen Latifah to Launch Clothing Line on HSN

Queen LatifahQueen Latifah is launching her own line of fashions on the Home Shopping Network in August  but she doesn’t like the term “plus-size”.

“It’s just a word to bury at this point,” the singer/actress told Women’s Wear Daily.  “It’s for all sizes.”

Queen Latifah is another voice joining the chorus of those who don’t particularly care for the term “plus-size”.  Tyra prefers the term “fiercely real” and  Marquita Pring prefers “curvy” especially when used to describe a fashion model who now is referred to as a “plus size model”.

Do you find the term “plus size” inappropriate ?  Please leave a comment below.
